This is what's called a "maintenance" release of ANSIED. What that means
is that I got tired of releasing AFIX files. This version fixes a few
stupid little bugs in ANSIED v2.43. If you're using ANSIED v2.43, you
should apply these merges instead.
You recompile RBBS-PC the exact same way that you did in version 2.43.
This ANSIED release is compatible with RBBS as of version 17.3/0518 as far
as all of the additional RBBS merges.
So, what's fixed?
a) ANSIED could be invoked for extended file descriptions.
b) Message subjects that were highlighted could crash ANSIED.
c) The last AFIX fix for b) just wiped out the whole damn subject.
d) Local cursor keys could invoke RBBS functions rather than working
correctly as cursor keys.
e) ANSIED line numbers were out of order, causing complaints by BLED.
f) If a user enters a message that contains no characters at all, the
message would be saved as 99 blank lines.
g) ANSIED didn't use the RBBS extension for help files.
h) PUIs that were supposed to be limited to a main PUI prompt also worked
from the Q)uit command.
i) RBBS files prompt screwed up.
j) Files N)ew prompt doesn't list S)ince as an option.
BTW, there really aren't any more upgrades planned for ANSIED, short of bug
fixes. If you'd like something in, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
